Compressed Cell Structure (CCS) Foam Hand Applicators from Lake Country Mfg. give the enthusiast who prefers hand application of polishes the ability to match the cutting power of their polish to the appropriate foam variety, just like you would do if you were using a polisher to apply product. You can now get better results by hand because the applicator is enhancing the performance of the product.
The CCS Foam Hand Applicators employ Lake Country Mfg.'s CCS technology. CCS technology incorporates pockets of closed cell foam strategically placed across the surface of the applicator. These pockets act like reservoirs, where polish and wax are held, but not absorbed into the pad. The CCS pockets then gradually release the polish or wax as needed by the operator.
Conventional foam applicators absorb polish too quickly. This reduces the performance of the polish because most of it is trapped below the surface of the applicator. CCS technology solves this problem by reducing the rate at which polish is absorbed into the applicator and, therefore, increasing the performance of the polish. The CCS pockets also reduce the surfae contact of the applicator which helps prevent surface marring.
Lake Country Mfg.'s CCS Foam Hand Applicators come in three levels of aggressiveness:

Orange - Use to remove light to moderate swirls with no loss of surface gloss. You will want to use this applicator with light swirl removers such as Poorboy's SSR1, Poorboy's SSR2 or Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover 2.0. In most cases, you can go directly to wax application with the red applicator.

White - Use for general polishing and pre-wax cleaning. Use it with all-in-one products, finishing polishes or pre-wax cleaners. Some products to use it with include Klasse All-In-One, P21s Paintwork Cleanser or Mother's Pre-Wax Cleaner.

Red - Use this applicator for applying last step products such as waxes, glazes and sealants. It has no cut or cleaning ability. It is soft and gentle on all automotive surfaces.
Each of the CCS Hand Applicators measure 6 x 3.75 x 1.25 inches so you can cover a lot of paint quickly.
To clean these applicators, mix a packet of Snappy Clean Pad Cleaner in three to four gallons of water. Allow the applicator to soak in the mixture up to 15 minutes. When you are ready to clean the applicator, use a Duo-Spur Brush to agitate the pad to help release any polish residue. Rinse the applicator in water and lay flat to dry.
